Which chatbot pricing model actually costs less for you?
Most chatbot platforms bill one of three ways: per agent seat, per conversation, or per website view. Enter your own numbers to see how each model plays out — no signup required.
How is each model actually calculated here?
These are illustrative rates based on typical entry-level pricing reported across the market in 2026, not a quote for any specific vendor — every platform's real numbers differ, and this tool is for understanding the shape of each model, not for exact budgeting.
- Per-seat: ≈$25/agent seat/month, a common entry-level rate for helpdesk-style platforms. Cost scales with team size regardless of volume.
- Per-conversation: a flat base fee plus roughly ₹1/conversation at moderate volume — a common structure across the market, though not Zotaro's own model (see below). Cost scales with actual usage, not team size.
- Per-view: ≈$6 per 5,000 monthly page views, a common rate for view-based widget pricing. Cost scales with traffic, regardless of how many visitors actually chat.
There's a fourth model this tool doesn't chart: flat-rate/unlimited, where price doesn't move with seats, conversations, or views at all — Zotaro's own ₹299/month plan works this way, with unlimited conversations included regardless of volume.
As a rule of thumb: per-seat pricing rewards small teams with high volume; per-conversation pricing rewards lean teams regardless of size; per-view pricing rewards low-traffic, high-engagement sites and penalizes high-traffic, low-engagement ones; flat-rate pricing rewards anyone whose volume would otherwise push them into overage on a metered plan.
What would Zotaro itself actually cost you?
Zotaro's own calculator uses its real plan pricing, not illustrative rates.
